Five hundred years after the birth of Gaspar Frutuoso, Carlos Machado Museum presents an exhibition that reveals the scientific profile of the remarkable Azorean chronicler, author of the books Saudades da Terra. The exhibition is based on his descriptions of nature, which are illustrated with specimens from the natural history collection, with recent samples and using current technologies.
