In partnership with the Carlos Machado Museum, the Edmundo Machado de Oliveira Choir will present the concert Christmas in the Museum on December 22, at 5:00 PM, in the Sacred Art Center (Igreja do Colégio).

The event will feature the Edmundo Machado de Oliveira Choir, under the artistic direction of Anastasiya Sokovikova, accompanied by pianist Irina Semënova and with the participation of conductor Carlos Frazão.

For the first time in Portugal, some compositions by Hildegard of Bingen, a German nun born in 1098 who was also a painter, poet, composer, scientist, philosopher will be performed. The choir will also present a piece by its patron, Edmundo Machado de Oliveira, with lyrics by Prof. José Enes, as well as works by Lopes Graça, Fernando Tordo, and Ary dos Santos. From the international repertoire, pieces by Johann Sebastian Bach, John Rutter, and William Chatterton Dix will be performed.
