The session addresses topics related to sensitive collections, scientific heritage, and colonial legacies, through case studies from the University of Coimbra.
Pedro Casaleiro is Deputy Director of the Geophysical and Astronomical Observatory of the University of Coimbra, a Research Fellow at the Department of Physics of the Faculty of Sciences and Technology, and a Guest Lecturer in Museology at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities. He is also a member of the Coimbra Chemistry Centre – Institute of Molecular Sciences.
The study “Reflections on the Sensitive Collections at the University of Coimbra: Case studies in Science and Colonialism”, authored by Pedro Casaleiro, Mariana Brum, and Mariana Marques, is available for free in PDF format on the Edinburgh University Press.
