The Sacred Art Center of the Carlos Machado Museum will host a double program dedicated to contemporary video art, in partnership with Bienal Walk&Talk and FUSO Lisboa - International Video Art Festival.

October 23, 9:30 PM | Gestures of Abundance - Bienal Walk&Talk Curated by: Jesse James, Claire Shea, Fátima Bintou Rassoul Sy, Liliana Coutinho Total duration: 45 minutes

This screening draws from the 2025 Biennial theme, Gestures of Abundance, which challenges perceptions of scarcity and calls for practices of communality, interdependence, and world-making.

The Being of Relation — ro heinrich (2022) — 10 min 24 sec A meditative space on being as relation, based on the thought of Indigenous leader Ailton Krenak.

BeastQuest — Kolbeinn Hugi (2025) — 30 min Humor and science fiction imagine a digital creature entering the ecological simulation GAIANET — a techno-shamanic delirium where nature and cyberspace become interdependent.

Soy Much — Soya the Cow (2021) — 4 min A queer, vegan pop manifesto celebrating the freedom and abundance of dissident bodies through music, irony, and the assertion of difference.

October 24, 9:30 PM | Innocence of the Eye? Contemporary Video Art in Portugal Curated by: Jean-François Chougnet Total duration: 45 minutes

Screening featuring works selected and awarded in FUSO Lisboa's Open Call 2025, presenting an overview of contemporary video art in Portugal: diversity of generations, practices, and themes (gender, decolonialism, memory, and affections).
