The next session of the MUSEUTALKS cycle, dedicated to the theme “Dilemmas of Archaeology: from field collection to museum incorporation,” will take place on November 28, at 3:00 PM, at the Santa Bárbara Center.
The initiative will feature the participation of João Paulo Constância, Director of the Carlos Machado Museum; Nzynga Oliveira, archaeologist and Director of the Vila Franca do Campo Museum; João Gonçalves Araújo, archaeologist and curator of the Archaeology – From Convent to Museum exhibition; and Henrique Álvares Cabral, Senior Archaeology Technician at the Carlos Machado Museum.
This session will address the current reality of Azorean museums regarding the incorporation of archaeological finds, as well as the practices associated with the collection, treatment, and cataloging of these materials. The meeting aims to promote reflection and the sharing of experiences between professionals and the public.
