Carlos Machado Museum celebrates the International Museum Day with a program of free activities, with "Museums for Education and Research" being the theme proposed by the International Council of Museums (ICOM) for this 2024 edition.

Celebrated every year since 1977, ICOM organizes the International Museum Day, representing a unique moment for the international museum community, aiming to raise awareness of the fact that museums are an important means of cultural exchange, enrichment of cultures, as well as the development of mutual understanding, cooperation, and peace among peoples.
