The "Música no Museu 2025" program presents the concert "Entre Ilhas e Canções" on November 6th. This musical event takes place within the scope of the 30th Anniversary of APCP (Associação Portuguesa de Cuidados Paliativos), the V Jornadas de Investigação da APCP, and the I Jornadas Internacionais de Cuidados Paliativos dos Açores.
The concert "Entre Ilhas e Canções" was born from the initiative of four nurses from the region. In addition to their professional activity, they dedicate themselves, as cultural agents, to the interpretation and dissemination of Portuguese and Azorean music.
The voices of Helena Oliveira, Raquel Dutra, Bárbara Moniz, and Maria João Branco will take the audience on a musical journey through the different islands of the Azores. This event was designed to pay tribute to the many authors who have contributed to the region's artistic and cultural landscape, from its settlement to recent decades.
The repertoire will include poems by Natália Correia, Antero de Quental, Armando Côrtes Rodrigues, António Melo Sousa, and Mário de Sá Carneiro. Themes by Aníbal Raposo, Carlos Frazão, Luís Alberto Bettencourt, Luís Gil Bettencourt, Manuel Medeiros Ferreira, and Zeca Medeiros, among others, will also be performed. The concert's mission is to convey "the expression of a people, the sonority of the islands, and the love for this land."
